Second, I feel strongly that works designed for living environments should have relevance and meaning to those that live in and near them. During the consultation period, I pay close attention to my patrons expressed ideas, preferences and tastes in art, their sensibilities concerning design themes, and their cultural, theological, and metaphysical background. This gathered knowledge forms the soul of the work from within a context that is inclusive of my patrons profile.
The final aspect of any project is a blending of this artists personal vision, the architecture and my patrons style of life. My primary intention is to release the natural beauty of the material and in doing so, create works that enhance living.
I consider myself an Old World Craftsman in that I employ tried and true procedures that produce results that convey integrity and intrinsic value. My works fit well and reflect harmony within the architectural context, while at the same time are often the center point of interest expressing vitality and vision.
